Dear Syafiq,

Unfortunately, due to recent changes made by the UK Border Agency in the requirements for obtaining a student visa, we can only exempt you from IELTS or TOEFL if you obtained your prior Masters degree within two years of your PhD programme start date from one of the following countries:
Antigua and Barbuda,Australia,The Bahamas,Barbados,Belize,Canada,Dominica,Grenada,Guyana,Jamaica,New Zealand,St Kitts and Nevis,St Lucia,St Vincent and the Grenadines,Trinidad and Tobago,the UK,the USA.

We would not be able to accept degrees from any other countries as proof of English language (even if you were actually taught in English). I must emphasise that this is due to UKBA visa regulations, not DUBS admissions.

Kind regards,

Doctoral Programmes Assistant"

Again, ielts is compulsory for universities in UK...but this time because its regulated by UKBA for visa...
Hahahaa..i knew this will come, but just try my luck in case i'm lucky =P but surely i am not as always =P
It coming out of nowhere suddenly i compose an email to this uni's asking whether i can get exemption for ielts, but i think maybe because of this uni's ranking quite high in UK plus the UKBA visa regulation, there's no way i can get that exemption, like it or not

thats all, can't wait to finish my MBA & so looking forward to further at UK,inshaaAllah if i've been given this rare opportunity...

Ph.D by research wait for me,i think i can bare another 3 years of study & to finish it in time...inshaaAllah =)
